10 Intimate Wedding Venues in London
The Ned is a 1920s-inspired wedding venue located in the centre of London that was co-created by Soho House & Co. in London and the Sydell Group in New York. This opulent throwback to the 1920s takes place in the historic old Midland Bank building, which Sir Edwin "Ned" Lutyens designed in 1924.
This intimate wedding venue in London, which just opened in 2017, offers an alluring blend of historic grandeur and contemporary elegance that will instantly elevate your slick city wedding. A match made in heaven for those of you who love vintage inspired decadence and are looking for that wow factor.
The hotel has nine unique restaurants where family and friends can savour Italian food, American classics, Asian-Pacific specialities, and more. Additionally, there are 252 bedrooms accessible for a weekend or overnight visits, each of which bears witness to antique 1920s decor.
If you're looking for an historic and raw wedding venue then this one might be for you. The Licensed Victuallers Benevolent Institution constructed the Asylum Chapel for the Caroline Gardens residents who were former employees of the local alcohol trade. It has a Grade II classification and was built in 1826.
The chapel was bombed during World War II, losing its roof and being allowed to deteriorate before being partially rebuilt. This explains the lovely patina of decay that developed within as the numerous paint layers peeled.
Full of detail and unique character, the Asylum Chapel has capacity for 120 people at your ceremony and is perfect for the drinks reception that follows. After this, take a stroll and make use of their sister venue AMP Studios for your sit down meal and party, a short walk just off Old Kent Road.
Marylebone Town Hall
Westminster's Old Marylebone Town Hall is no exception. One of the most popular wedding venues in the country, this Grade 2 listed building has hosted many weddings throughout the years, including Sir Paul McCartney's! It's easy to understand why because of it's stunning façade and rich historical interior.
This wedding venue in London offers many different rooms for your ceremony. The largest room, the Westminster room, offers seating for 100 people and yet is still a fantastic location for intimate weddings. It boasts stunning wood panelling and exudes luxury and warmth.
The You Plus Two room only occurs on specific Tuesday mornings, and is ideal for those that want to keep their ceremony low-key. You and two witnesses will be the only people involved in this simple civil marriage, which will last ten minutes. They offer a simple script and forbid any other guests from attending, not even a photographer (don’t worry we can still capture some beautiful photos around London after!). And since it's a straightforward ceremony, only the exchanging of rings is allowed.
There are seven ceremony rooms available to choose from, perfect for making your town hall wedding unique to you.
If you're looking for something a little different for your wedding celebrations, Brunswick House is the perfect intimate wedding venue in London. It's a beautiful and versatile Georgian mansion that will provide the basis to your stylish London wedding.
The several rooms of Brunswick House are adorned with stunning and intriguing antiques. When you look closely, you will see that every item has a paper price tag because the location doubles as an antique shop during the day. For fun-loving couples seeking something a little different, these fascinating venues are ideal for your intimate London wedding.
A completely unique wedding venue, one for the garden lovers. A variety of extraordinary spaces, beautiful seasonal meals and botanical cocktails, in-house floristry, custom cakes, and a large retail selection to complete the variety.

Refettorio Felix at St. Cuthberts
Refettorio Felix in St. Cuthberts main hall provides a neutral, open plan environment for an intimate London wedding. Under the guidance of interior designer Isle Crawford, a deliberate design and remodelling process produced a distinctive yet adaptable space that exudes warmth and cosiness right away.
This venue is completely equipped for all levels of catering and has proven to be popular for sit-down meals to cocktail celebrations, with the added benefit that your event will benefit those in need.
With capacity for 80 people and a raised stage for your chosen entertainment, you can keep the focus on one space and go to town on making it unique with beautiful floristry, table design, and personalised pieces.
A hidden gem and wedding venue, The Fitzrovia Chapel is located in Westminster, South West London. It provides a unique and exclusive setting for your intimate London wedding.
The Fitzrovia Chapel has an elaborate marble and mosaic floor, a vaulted golden ceiling covered in dozens of glittering stars, and stunning stained-glass windows. Following the ceremony, you can celebrate your big day with 80 family members and friends over drinks at the chapel, followed by a reception just minutes away at 41 Portland Place, or cosier dining experience at The Salt Yard.
An exclusive wedding venue in Richmond, overlooking the Thames is Bingham Riverhouse. This boutique hotel delicately blends a charming, peaceful country ambience with a chic city vibe. This is the ideal spot for your intimate wedding, with a charming riverbank setting, sophisticated décor, and luxury service.
Bingham Riverhouse provides couples with stunning backdrops for beautiful photos and complete privacy if you choose to hire the entire property.
Up to 90 people can be accommodated in the Garden Rooms for a variety of events, including standing receptions and small civil ceremonies. The surrounding patio's expertly maintained shrubs and plants provide your cocktail reception with a visually pleasing touch. There are also garden domes available for intimate wedding party banquets.
Syon Park, the last privately owned estate in London and one of England's most stunning, is the perfect setting for any intimate London wedding. The rich history of the Estate is evident as guests enter the gates of this serene and lovely rural paradise, which is only 25 minutes from Central London.
It offers the most romantic settings available to London, with a choice of either the Great Hall, the State Dining Room, or the Great Conservatory, for your ceremony. The Duke’s Private Family Apartments in Syon House were extensively refurbished to create The Hotspur Wing. Five full ensuite bedrooms, a billiard room, two lounges, a snug, a hallway, and a kitchen are all included in the self-contained accommodation. The very best in contemporary design, coexisting with antique furnishings.
And I saved the best for last… Kew Gardens! Kew Gardens weddings are simply magical events. This World Heritage Site, which is surrounded by history and has more than 50,000 living plants, provides a variety of lovely indoor and outdoor places for couples to start their new chapter.
Kew Gardens is a really memorable intimate London wedding venue because of its natural beauty and rich history. It's easy to understand why the UNESCO World Heritage Site is a well-known wedding location in South West London.
The botanical research and education centre has numerous impressive Grade-listed buildings, well-kept gardens, and even a dash of regal heritage. Kew Gardens offers numerous choices for your wedding day with spaces scattered throughout the venue.
The stunning Princess of Wales Conservatory, the incredible Nash Conservatory, the traditional Cambridge Cottage, or the chance to rent multiple spaces are just a few of the possibilities available to couples.
