Tito and Evan's fusion wedding took place against the beautiful backdrop of England's finest countryside, in the Georgian stately home of Somerley House. This unique house is located on 7,000 acres in Ringwood, Hampshire, UK, with sprawling views, fine architectural details, and an impressive art collection from British and European artists.
The couple wanted to combine Tito’s Nigerian Yoruba heritage into a quintessentially British setting, so they knew they wanted to invite their families to an intimate country house convenient to London, where they live, for their wedding.
An Elegant Bridgerton Inspired Wedding
Tito and Evan's vision for their day absolutely blew me away. From the moment Tito got in touch with me to work with them, detailing their day as inspired by Autumn de Wilde's Emma and pared back Bridgerton, I knew it would be special. Working with wedding planner Assumpta Vitcu of AVE Creations, Tito and Evan pulled off a wedding that melded their cultures whilst creating a playful, dreamy, and elegant day.
Timeless and Romantic Wedding Details
The bride wore a bespoke Fran Rios wedding gown featuring billowing bishops sleeves, detachable overskirt, and chapel length veil. The groom was timelessly chic in a classic black tuxedo from Edit Suits and a gold Michael Kors. The groomsmen matched Evan's sleek attire, whilst Tito's bridesmaids wore uniquely coloured gowns featuring materials of tulle and chiffon, with textural ruffle details.
A Wedding Day of Melding Cultures
After heartfelt, personal vows and special readings from their family, the couple hosted a three course dinner in the Picture Gallery that lead to a traditional cake cutting, first dance and then onto the Yoruba wedding traditions. Significant customs of the Yoruba ceremony took place, including a letter exchange and Idobale, followed by spraying of money, which really set the party off!
Tito and Evan's celebration is one of the most stunning and thoughtful that I’ve ever had the pleasure to photograph. They created a day that was truly unique to them, combining dreamy and indulgent décor with important aspects of their cultures, as well as their individual personalities and taste.
